How do I clear my temporary files?

  • If you are using Mozilla Firefox:
  1. Windows: Press Ctrl + Shift + Del to open the "Clear Recent History" window.
    Mac: Press Command + Shift + Del to open the "Clear Recent History" window
  2. Select Everything from the “Time Range to Clear” drop down box
  3. Click Clear Now to clear your temporary internet files.
    Don't worry about which options to pick, just use the defaults.
  4. Close and reopen Firefox for the changes to take effect.


  • If you are using Google Chrome
  1. Windows: Press Ctrl + Shift + Del to open the "Clear Browsing Data" window.
    Mac: Press Command + Shift + Del to open the "Clear Browsing Data" window
  2. Select the beginning of time from the “Obliterate the following items from” drop down box
  3. Click Clear browsing data to clear your temporary internet files.
    Don't worry about which options to pick, just use the defaults.
  4. Close and reopen Chrome for the changes to take effect.




  • If you are using Internet Explorer
  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Del to open the "Delete Browsing History" window
  2. Click Delete to clear your temporary internet files.

  3. Close and reopen Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.


  • If you are using Microsoft Edge
  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Del to open the "Clear browsing data" window.
  2. Click Clear to clear your temporary internet files.
    Don't worry about which options to pick, just use the defaults.
  3. Close and reopen Edge for the changes to take effect.


  • If you are using Safari
  1. From the menu bar in Safari, select Safari, then Clear History and Website Data… from the drop-down menu.
  2. Click Clear History to clear all your temporary internet files.
  3. Close and reopen Safari for the changes to take effect.
